Henry's baptism

I’m excited to start this week off with a Links à la Mode feature! It’s been awhile since I’ve had a post featured, so, here’s a little refresher on what that means. Independent Fashion Bloggers puts together a list of the best blog posts each week and publishes them on their website. Then, the bloggers who had their posts selected also publish these posts on their website. So, it’s a good way to get your post in front of a… Read more »

Jump From Paper Cheese Bag

It’s no secret I love quirky handbags, the majority of my outfit posts feature some weird bag or another. So, I thought it would be fun to show you guys some of the ones I’m drooling over right now! Admittedly, this title might be a bit too bold of a statement. I’m sure there might be some even more quirky handbags out there at the moment than the ones I have listed. But a title that says “20 of… Read more »

Marie-France Group hair

You may remember me mentioning Marie-France Group a few weeks ago when I attended their One Year Anniversary VIP Party & Runway Show at their Walsh Bay location. (It was tons of fun!) They were also kind enough to invite me back for a haircut and style last week! I also had booked a color and conditioning treatment for my appointment. After years of bleaching and dyeing my hair, I’m trying to get back to my natural color and get… Read more »

Review Australia

Ok, let me start off by saying I’m not here to start a war or tell you not to shop at ModCloth. However, after the news broke that ModCloth was bought out by Jet.com and Walmart, I’ve been getting this question pretty frequently, “What other online stores are out there like ModCloth?” So, I figured putting together a list of some websites that are similar to ModCloth might be useful! Though I still like ModCloth, I’ve personally started looking… Read more »

We're moving!

Yep, you read that title right. We are moving all the way across the world yet again! Don’t worry, we’re just as surprised as you. We really thought we were going to be calling Australia home for much longer than 6 months. But hey, no complaints here! We’re all for new adventures. We actually just squared away the last of the details yesterday, so now I can say with certainty we are moving to Rosario, Argentina on April 8th! It’s… Read more »

*Marie-France Group is offering $100 off your first color at their salon! Simply mention Lindsey from Have Clothes, Will Travel when booking to receive your $100 discount! Click here for their website or call (02) 9247 9677 to make your appointment. This offer is valid until April 30th!   One of the perks of blogging is occasionally getting invited to cool events. This doesn’t happen too often in my case, though, thanks to never being in one spot long… Read more »

Sharon-Lee brows

There were a couple of things that happened with this year’s Oscars that had people talking. One was obviously the big Best Picture Award snafu. And another was the rumor that Leonardo DiCaprio allegedly flew an eyebrow artist 7,500 miles (from Sydney to LA) to have his brows perfect for the event. (At least that’s what we were talking about here in Sydney.) And that eyebrow artist was said to be Sharon-Lee Hamilton. While that may or may not… Read more »

I have really come to enjoy wishlist posts lately. It’s a fun way of window shopping for me…since I like to do all my shopping from the comfort of my couch, haha. And we’re currently getting one of the worst thunderstorms I’ve experienced since moving to Sydney, so I won’t be doing any actual window shopping today anyways. (Jeez! The building next to me was just struck by lightning – complete with a poof of smoke!) Yep, I’m staying in… Read more »

shein metallic skirt

Admittedly, I had gotten a bit lazy about getting my posts featured on Independent Fashion Blogger’s Links à la Mode…but this week, I’m back on the list with my post “Pearls, Bows & Metallic Skirts.” Yippee! And if you need a refresher on what Links à la Mode is…it’s a weekly roundup of the best blog posts selected by the site, Independent Fashion Bloggers. (You can read the full guidelines for submitting your posts to IFB, here.) Then, if you’re… Read more »

Henry newborn photos

I have someone very special to introduce you all to today, my nephew, Henry. This kind of post isn’t normal for my blog, but I’ve mentioned in previous posts I was able to meet Henry while I was home for the holidays, and that he’s the cutest little guy in the whole wide world. So, I figured I should give some photographic proof of his cuteness if I was going to keep bragging about him. Haha. Henry was only a… Read more »

So, 2016 was quite the year! From moving from New Jersey back to Wisconsin and then to Tokyo and then Sydney…phew! It was busy, to say the least, haha. But I loved every minute of it, and I was very grateful to have this blog to keep track of all the fun adventures. And I did a post last year on my favorite posts of the year, but I don’t know if I would be able to narrow it down… Read more »

I am really not good at cooking or baking. I’m also not very patient when it comes to cooking or baking. If something requires more than a half hour of prep and more than a handful of ingredients…I’m definitely not going to attempt to make it. Which is unfortunate, because I come from a family of really amazing cooks! (I don’t know how that gene missed me, haha.) So, with it being the holidays, I asked my Mom and Grandma… Read more »

Oh, it’s the most wonderful time of year! Where everything is on sale and stores are packed to the gills and lines are miles long. But, fortunately, we live in the age of the Internet! And all the lovely deals you can get in store are also available online! I’ve done all of my Christmas shopping online the past few years, and I am doing the same this year (plus, I want to get a couple things for myself, haha)…. Read more »

Happy week of Thanksgiving to you folks in the United States! Please eat some pumpkin pie and stuffing for me, haha. It’s really strange to not be doing anything for Thanksgiving this year. Although, I’ve always secretly wanted to have Italian food instead of turkey and gravy on Thanksgiving…so, I’m thinking this year might be my chance to try that out! Haha. And if you’re looking for style inspiration for what to wear for Thanksgiving, check out all the lovely… Read more »

SHOP SPLASH

“He’s making a list, and checking it twice…gonna find out who’s naughty and nice. Santa Claus is coming to town!” And hopefully, I’m on the nice list, because I went a little overboard with my wishlist here. Haha. I seriously can’t believe Christmas is just over a month away…especially since it just keeps getting hotter and hotter here! But when Shop Splash reached out to me about putting together a wishlist, I knew I wanted to start thinking about what… Read more »

IXIAH

Yippee! Another week, another Links à la Mode feature! This week’s post selected to be featured by Independent Fashion Bloggers was my “Fashion Weekend Sydney” post. I’m excited they enjoyed getting a glimpse at Sydney’s fashion scene as much as I did. In other news, today was a bit busy (in a fun way)… I finished up booking our trip to Uluru a.k.a. Ayers Rock a.k.a the big rock in the middle of the desert in Australia. I’m pretty excited… Read more »

Japanese beer girl

This week’s Links à la Mode is giving me a chance to bring up Japan one more time! Did I mention I really loved my time in Japan? Well, I REALLY loved Japan. And I was very excited my blog post “My Top 10 Favorite Things I Did in Japan” was selected by Independent Fashion Bloggers for this week’s Links à la Mode! Also, if you have time check out the actual link to IFB’s post here…I love that my… Read more »

grey trench coat

It’s funny that this week’s outfit post selected to be featured on Links à la Mode is actually the same outfit as what I had worn in yesterday’s “Skywalk” post. Yep, my “Seasonally Confused” outfit is what I had on to do the “Skywalk.” As you can see, I was not even a little prepared for what that all entailed! Haha. (Click here to see yesterday’s Skywalk post if you missed it.) And if you’re wondering, I’m still seasonally confused,… Read more »

ATM COLLECTION

Wishlist posts are something I love and hate putting together all at once. They are incredibly fun and exciting to make…but they also get my brain into fantasy shopping mode, which can be a bit dangerous. Taking a look back at my previous wishlist posts…I’ve actually ended up acquiring more from them than was probably necessary. Whoops! However, when ATM Collection reached out to me about this wishlist post, I thought this would be more of a therapeutic exercise. This… Read more »

WE ARE KINDRED

My first Fashion Weekend Sydney is in the books! It’s an event filled with runway shows, designer sample sales, the latest makeup/hair trends and champagne. It’s pretty hard not to have a good time! Fashion Weekend Sydney is different than Sydney’s Fashion Week, though. Fashion Weekend is a fun shopping event that has runway shows…but the runway shows include ready-to-wear pieces…so, if you saw a dress you liked on the runway, you can walk out to the sales floor and… Read more »

Sydney outfit

My days are completely messed up. I went all day thinking today was Monday…whoops! I then had a bit of panic attack, as I realized I had not yet posted this week’s Independent Fashion Bloggers Links à la Mode feature, and it’s already Tuesday night! But I’ll blame that mix up on yesterday day being Labor Day here in Australia…so, it was a nice long weekend here! It was also apparently Day Light Savings Time, which I was completely unaware… Read more »

Striped dress

Ok, so today did not quite go according to plan. I had planned to spend some time putting together an outfit post from this weekend that I am very excited to share with you guys…but while I was editing photos, my washing machine became possessed by an evil force and spewed water all over my apartment floor, until I managed to turn the valves off. It all happened so fast! Haha. And while I was trying to call maintenance, the… Read more »

Summer outfit - ice cream purse

Alrighty, our regularly scheduled programming is going to get a bit shaken up here at Have Clothes, Will Travel. I’m getting ready to move (once again), and things are going to be a little crazy around here. Sadly, my time in Tokyo is coming to an end. I really don’t want it to be over…Japan has been such an incredible country to live in these past few months. I’m honestly a bit depressed about it, which the gloomy, rainy weather… Read more »

Japanese Kimono

What? Today is not Sunday, is it? I know I normally do this post on Sunday, but with my blogiversary, and with my days in Japan being numbered…I didn’t have enough time this weekend to get this post out on its usual day. Sorry! This week’s blog post winner for me was my “Wearing a Kimono” post! And a quick refresher on what Links à la Mode is… The site, Independent Fashion Bloggers, selects 20 of the best blog posts… Read more »

blooper photos

The day is finally here! I’m sharing some of my best blooper photos for my blogiversary – which is coming up on Monday! I’m not going to lie, this was one of the hardest posts I’ve ever put together. Not because I’m so embarrassed to show these to you guys…I just had so many of them to choose from that narrowing it down to a decent amount was really difficult, haha. The majority of the photos taken of me look… Read more »

I don’t normally do these kinds of posts, but I thought this would be a fun one to take part in…especially because of my upcoming blog anniversary! It’s always great to reflect at this time of the year. The lovely Lee of “Lee Thrifts” tagged me in the “Get to know me – 4 things” tag. (Thank you, Lee!) And I loved reading through her answers! (Click here to see Lee’s answers.) So, here are my answers! Enjoy! Four Places… Read more »

Makemechic midi skirt

So, not to brag, but Links à la Mode is becoming a Sunday morning staple on my blog! Of course, it’s nice to have my work recognised, but it has also been a wonderful way to find new blogs to read. And I’m also very excited to see a couple new faces on Links à la Mode! Two of my favorite bloggers, Mona & Jen, both have posts featured this week! Yippee! (And if you’re a Pokémon GO fan, you’ll… Read more »

Shein Crop Top

Wow! Two weeks in a row, now, I’ve had a blog post selected by the Independent Fashion Bloggers for Links à la Mode! I’m pretty darn excited about that. The post selected this week was my outfit post from the Imperial Gardens: “My First Crop Top.” (If you’ve missed my posts explaining what Links à la Mode is, click here for more info.) And I wasn’t the only one in this week’s roundup featuring crop tops and florals! Plus, Mariana… Read more »
