This outfit had indeed caught the eye of many of the people I encountered while wearing it. Some folks were sneaky about their glances, while others were openly gaping…trying to figure out what kind of event I was dressed for (at least that’s what I think they were thinking). The looks could have something to do with my enormous sun hat or brightly colored midi skirt… or maybe it’s because I walk like a newborn calf in these heels. Either way, I say, “Let them stare!”

I love the way this big sun hat brought this whole outfit together. I hope everyone likes it as well as I do, because it will be on the blog a lot this summer! Not only is it cute, but I’m pretty sure it will be impossible to get a sunburn while wearing it. It does, however, make getting in and out of vehicles interesting.

My skirt is a really exciting find I couldn’t wait to share with you all! Guess how much it cost. Go ahead, guess! OK, I’ll tell you…It was $23!! It was from the site, Sheinside (recently renamed “Shein”). I’ve seen this site before on other blogs, but was always hesitant to buy anything from them. Sheinside’s prices just seemed a bit too good to be true. However, I could not be happier with this skirt! I bought another midi skirt (around $20) that is gorgeous and a really fun caped dress (less than $20!) I can’t wait to wear…and the quality is great for all the pieces. I will definitely be ordering from Sheinside again!

I also tried something new with my nails for this post. Alissa, a lovely Jamberry consultant, sent me these fun nail wraps to try out. I am someone who very rarely paints my nails. This is because 1.) I’m terrible at it 2.) I’m lazy and hate taking the time to do it, and I also get lazy and never remove my polish…so it just sits there and chips and looks awful.

Jamberry nail wraps were really easy to apply, though! You just heat them up with your blow dryer and press them on….and they don’t chip off! They are also incredibly easy to remove, you just get them a little warm with your blow dryer and peel them off. As you can see, though, a couple of my nails I didn’t apply very well. I had a hard time putting on my index fingers for some reason, and they are a bit wrinkly. I think with a little more practice I could apply them all without wrinkles, though.

*Now, I’m curious, do you have an outfit that garners some stares when you wear it? Let me know in the comments!

  1. OMG, this skirt! it is sooooo beautiful and exiting, dear Lindsey! I can very well imagine that this outfit had caught the eye of many people. Only very few women are that well-dressed! I love everything of this feminine look: this charming flowery skirt, this fabulous hat, the sexy Heels and the black top! You look adorable :-))

You are so right, let them stare! I know how it feels, when people are gaping, because I am a transgendered girl, who love to live out her feminine side. Finally I love the sensation;-)
