The trees may already be donning their fall colors, but that didn’t stop me from breaking out a summer dress one last time. I had bought this particular dress in an effort to break away from my favorite A-line style dress. I’m a bit of a prude when it comes to my clothes. I’ve never felt comfortable showing much for skin or wearing anything clingy. When this dress went on sale for less than $20, about a month ago, it seemed like a good time to break out of my dress rut.

However, summer has come and gone… and I had never mustered up the courage to wear this dress out. Then some warm sunshine peaked out this week and gave me one last opportunity to wear it before I’m resigned to the land of sweaters and jeans for the next 8 months.

This dress is a bit of an anomaly for me. Not only does it show way more skin than I’m used to, but it required absolutely no work on my part to hide my bra. Every single dress I own requires me to pin it or stick some stylist tape on in order to hide my bra. However, this skimpy dress didn’t require a single safety pin or piece of stylist tape. It’s a clothing miracle! I was also worried that the pale pink bottom of this dress would be too sheer. That was most definitely not the case, it isn’t the least bit see-through!

This dress is surprisingly comfortable too. It’s great to not have to be re-situating my dress every few minutes, everything just stays where it’s supposed to with this dress. I’m already regretting not wearing it more during the blistering summer months.

I know I’ve already written about how wonderful these wedges are in past posts, but in case you didn’t read it, I’m going to rave about them again. These wedges are so incredibly comfortable I still can’t believe it. They are seriously more comfortable than my favorite flats, and they go with tons of outfits. The most amazing part of these wedges, though, is that they fit my super wide feet and do not rub anywhere on my feet. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them!

While this outfit is a bit risque (for me, anyway), I think the flowy, pink bottom of this dress and the length keep it from crossing the line into “too sexy.” What do you think? Too much skin…or just enough? Let me know in the comments.

Where to find it:
