How to Style Patterned Shorts for Summer

Styling patterned shorts can sound intimidating, but fortunately, the formula to wearing them fashionably isn’t too difficult. It’s always a safe bet to pair your patterned shorts with a solid colored top that matches one color on them. You can then have a little fun with your shoes and accessories!

Shorts

These patterned shorts are the most comfortable pair of shorts I now own – hands down. They are baggy in all the right places and breathe so well on a hot summer day. (The only other pair of shorts I’ll wear are my Judy Blue high waisted ones…but I accidentally sent them through the dryer a few times, and they’re not quite as comfy as they once were.)

I hate wearing shorts usually because I don’t like having to constantly readjust my shorts as they start hiking up…or feeling like I’m losing circulation to my thighs, but the waist is falling off me. Obviously, my dislike of shorts is because I have a hard time finding comfortable ones that also look cute. But thanks to these guys – I now have more than one pair of shorts that I’ll wear in my wardrobe! Wahoo!

Because I stuck to a solid color for my top that matched the shorts… I went all out with my accessories! A pop of red from my pumps and my quirky bag doesn’t look too crazy! Haha. It’s been a while since I used my Stormtrooper purse. Maybe being without my trusty Kate Spade for a little while wasn’t such a bad thing!

Are you a fan of wearing shorts? Or do you gravitate more toward dresses and skirts (like me) when the temps are soaring? Let me know in the comments!
