“Ugly” Sweater Season
‘Tis the season for ugly Christmas sweaters. I must admit, though, I don’t think my Snoopy sweater is all that ugly. I honestly bought it because I think it’s cute and wanted to wear it for Christmas. I found this sweater at Target, and when I was checking out a lady started asking me about the “Ugly Sweater” party I was going to. I was confused and then a little worried about my taste in clothes, haha.
Oh well! I love this sweater. I’ve always been a big “Peanuts” fan, and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” puts me in the Christmas spirit every year. This Snoopy sweater is not terribly thick or warm, which is perfect for me at this time of year. I am always too warm at holiday parties, and the weather in Wisconsin is unseasonably warm at the moment, too. This sweater is also not the least bit scratchy. Being soft is the biggest requirement a sweater has…in my opinion.
I also love gaudy Christmas jewelry (OK. Maybe I should be worried about my fashion sense, haha). I worked at Claire’s when I was in high school, and I’ve accumulated quite the over-the-top Christmas jewelry collection (I am also a master ear-piercer!). And the beautiful thing about Claire’s is they generally carry very similar Christmas jewelry year after year. I’m confident if you went there right now, you would find a very similar version of my reindeer earrings (which are my favorite Christmas earrings).
I wore my lovely Christmas attire for my husband’s family Christmas. They have a very large family and many small children right now. Every year someone gets the honor of dressing up as Santa (or the Easter Bunny, if it’s Easter) and entertaining the kids for a little while. It’s so much fun! This year the honor of Santa fell on my brother-in-law (my sister-in-law is also pictured).
Does anyone else have some fun Christmas traditions to share or favorite Christmas sweaters? Let me know in the comments!

Wow! You look beautiful. This sweater is so cute and cozy! Sweaters are one of my favorite parts of fall. I want these sweaters for me. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!
Best sweater ever <3 I don't even consider it ugly, but I'm kind of a hoarder of quirky sweaters, so I'm biased, I guess. 😀
