Black Swan
There are some outfits that are worth waiting for – and I waited months before I finally broke out this one.
I fell in love with this black swan skirt from Shein and have been waiting until the stars aligned before I wore it out. That happened when I received this gorgeous, silk scarf from Demon TZ. The two pieces matched perfectly, and it was just what I was looking for to complete this outfit.
This is actually my first time owning a silk scarf. I had a couple impostor silk scarves I picked up from a shop in Rome, but it wasn’t until I had this one from Demon TZ in my hands that I realized what I had been missing out on! It feels wonderful, and it looks so much more classy. All of my family loved it and wanted to touch it when we went out for dinner that night. Haha.
That’s also why I’ve been a little MIA on social media and haven’t been as responsive to blog posts – I’ve been home with my family for the past few days. We all actually went camping together and had an absolute blast. Plus, I finally got to see my parents’ new puppy. I’ll be posting photos of his adorableness in my next post!

I LOVE the pairing with this scarf with this skirt! I’ve eyed this skirt several times too but have yet to take the plunge. Hmmm, now I’m more tempted lol! Yes, some of my fave items sit in my closet for longer than I’d like bc they need a great occasion or something to wear them to! XO

I can see why you waited to wear this outfit. You look so sophisticated in it with this beautiful scarf. I love how scarves make your outfit stand out without having to wear jewelry. It’s a nice alternative. I also really like how you styled this outfit with these cute open toe strappy heels. Nice!

Hi Jessica! The quality is great for $20! I am super happy with it! I just followed their measurements on the site and the fit is great, too. I was hesitant to buy from them too…the prices seemed too good to be true! But I haven’t had a bad experience yet, and I’m a bit addicted now. Haha.
Oh that’s good to hear! I bought dresses from them twice and both times they were very short. So hopefully a midi skirt will turn out ok, lol.

Oh yes! I’ve bought several midi skirts and was very happy with all their fits. But I do own one dress from Shein that’s quite short too, and one that fits just as it should. Haha. I think you’ll have better luck with midi skirts. Dresses that fall above the knee are always so tricky to order online.

What a pretty skirt! I’m in love with that print, and you upped the ante with that gorgeous scarf. As for things I’ve waited to wear, I have a blue dress that looks a lot like one Zooey Deschanel wore in (500) Days of Summer. I’ve never had an occasion to wear it, but I did put it on for a shoot back when I first got my camera. The pictures are pretty bad, so I know I’ll break out that dress again one of these days to do it justice. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed camping! And I can’t wait to see puppy pictures!
