Happy Friday! We made it through the week! And in honor of this lovely day, I’m sharing a casual and comfy Friday look.

Ok, technically I think I had worn this outfit on a Wednesday…it was the last day of our trip in New Orleans, and I wanted a comfy look for wandering around in the morning and then flying home that afternoon/night. And this outfit was SO comfy for our plane ride. However, this top was a terrible idea for going through security. With the beading on it…it set off the full-body scanner. So, I had the pleasure of getting a pat-down – yippee! I should have known better (and I should’ve just worn my trusty Sriracha shirt like I normally do on flights).

But oh well! My maxi skirt I’ll definitely be wearing for travel purposes again, though. I don’t know why, but I always gravitate toward jeans when I’m traveling…which, really, are not that comfy when you’re sitting for a long time. Maxi skirt/dresses are where it’s at! Especially if you’re like me, and overheat when you’re traveling (running through airports, being squished in a tiny space on a plane…I’ll be sweating buckets by the end of the day). But maxi skirts breathe well and are nice and comfy…which really helps with the whole overheating thing! 🙂

I did take this fun, bendable necklace off before I got on the plane, though. (I was sort of thinking that day!) I had featured it last summer and mentioned that it reminded me of a snake, haha. Which not everyone was a fan of…but I still do like how unique this bendable necklace is! I can wear it every day, and it will always look slightly different. (And sorry if you’re not a fan of snakes!)

What are some your favorite casual and comfy outfits? And has anyone else seen a bendable necklace before? Let me know in the comments!

  1. You know, as soon as you said about wearing jeans all the time while flying, I was like yep, me too! And they’re not comfy at all! You look super comfy in this outfit and I love the colors. The beading is so pretty too. Maxi skirts are for sure the winner when traveling!

    1. Haha, right? Jeans were always my go-to when flying, and they’re not even a little bit comfy! And thank you so much, Amanda!

  2. You look fabulous in maxi skirts! I can see wear it would be comfortable! I would probably wear yoga pants for flying, anything soft and stretchy! 🙂

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Laurie! And oh yes, yoga pants are great for traveling! I really don’t own too many pairs…I should change that! 🙂

  3. I love your snake necklace! I think it’s awesome and fun!
And the whole outfit breathes a stylish boho-look, very nice! I’ve been pat down once as well, and I found it horrible! It was degrading imo. Anyway, I’m sorry the top caused that, but at least you looked awesome!
Hope you are having a splendid weekend!
    Much love,

    1. Thank you so much, Mona! 🙂 And oh yes, I was not a fan of the pat-down…they did offer to do it in a private area…but I didn’t want to make this ordeal take any longer. :-/ Needless to say, I won’t ever be wearing that top to the airport again! I hope you had a splendid weekend too!

  4. In love of your skirt! Your outfit looks so comfy and beautiful. You look stunning girl! Thanks for sharing.

  6. Beautiful outfit! It looks so comfortable and perfect for flying, minus the beading, haha. And I love the necklace! I have something similar but it has a snake head and tail on it. I wish it was more like your’s. That one is beautiful!

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Lili! Haha yes, it was great for flying except the darn beading. 😉 Oooh I like the sounds of an actual snake necklace! There’s a dragon necklace that is similar on Game of Thrones that I want to try and find!

  7. Love this purple on you! So funny about the security stuff (I’m sure it wasn’t at the time!). I wear maxi’s when I fly too, but for the opposite reason as I run cold on planes and they cover my legs more comfortably than jeans! XO

    1. Thank you, Lauren! Haha, the security stuff wasn’t the worst…but this was my first time getting a full pat-down! Oh yes, maxis are good for that too…it comes in handy because once I fall asleep on the plane I inevitably get chilly…so, it’s a good way to be both cool yet warm!? (Maxis really are miracle workers, haha.)

  8. this look is great as always, Lindsey! I love traveling in longer skirts. Can’t believe you used to do it in jeans!!
