40 Photos of the Fall Colors in Door County, Wisconsin
Door County is arguably one of the best areas to enjoy the fall colors in Wisconsin. The leaves typically begin changing at the end of September and peak color is usually mid-October. The photos of fall color in Door County in this post were taken October 12-15, 2020.
Door County boasts many fun events throughout September and October. (See the full list of fall events, here.) To enjoy the fall colors, go for a drive along Highway 42 or hike one of the many gorgeous trails in Penisula State Park! And even if you don’t make it quite in time for peak season, this area will still be gorgeous through the end of October.
This post is sharing some of my favorite photos I snapped of Door County in mid-October! While most are of the fall color – I’ve also included a few of the famous Door County fish boils at the Old Post Office Restaurant in Ephraim (a must-do in Door County). Enjoy!

Oh wow these are beautiful shots. I cannot wait for our leaves to turn. That doesn’t happen until Thanksgiving though.
I was fortunate to visit Door County for the first time this summer and found it magical. It is lovely to see that it has gorgeous fall colors too!
Can I save them all as wallpaper?! I wish!! Such gorgeous Pictures of my absolute favorite time of year. I don’t know if it because I have a fall birthday, or because I grew up in Phoenix, but I am in awe every year! I am also fascinated by ice shoves! We never had anything like that in AZ or VA. Just love Wisconsin.
Just wish we could keep those colors here in Sweden for a bit longer, winter is getting closer the leaves are falling 🙂
This is definitely something we don’t get here in AZ, at least in Phoenix. But a quick trip up to the mountains satisfies it. Or just seeing these fabulous photos of yours!!
