Meet My Beautiful Niece – Claire!

I’m interrupting our normal programming to introduce you all to someone very special today – my lovely little niece Claire! She made her debut into the world on June 17th, and she is absolutely perfect.

Even with all that is happening with COVID at the moment, Claire’s birth went really well and my brother and sister in law couldn’t be happier. 

My brother and sister in law are incredibly motivated folks too. They moved into their new forever home the DAY AFTER they came home from the hospital. So, needless to say, we waited a couple weeks after Claire was born before we did her newborn photos! (I took these just before the 4th of July, so we were going for a 4th of July theme.) 

My nephew Henry is 3-years-old now and is so excited to be a big brother. He’s really looking forward to the day Claire starts walking, though! He wants her to play in his sandbox with him so badly, haha.

It’s awesome that my husband and I are home for this summer too. We were living in Australia when Henry was born, and, unfortunately, missed a lot of fun moments with him when he was a baby. We’re so thrilled to be able to see Claire and Henry on a regular basis now!

I keep getting asked if I “miss traveling” and if I’m “getting used to being home.” While I do miss traveling, I have absolutely loved being home this summer. Getting to be around for moments like this is the best thing in the world.

It’s also part of the reason I’m not blogging as frequently as I normally do. I’m trying to make sure I’m more present with family while we’re at home. I’m also working on projects around our home, now that we’re actually living in it (super excited about how our patio is turning out – I’m sharing pics of that in my next post). I’ve also been working on quite a lot of business projects this summer that have been really exciting and rewarding! Plus, we have Miss Kitty now too, and she requires many snuggles throughout the day, haha.

While this summer may be far from “normal,” it has been wonderful. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family and the world’s most incredible niece and nephew!
