The most incredible thing happened this weekend…it actually felt like fall here! I woke up shivering, and then proceeded to start frantically digging out sweaters, boots and hats…all while grinning like a fool. I feel like I have been waiting for cozy fall-like weather for ages! Don’t get me wrong, I love summer. But fall is the creme de la creme of the seasons.

I actually had the opportunity to break out a seasonally appropriate outfit. Yippee! I was really excited to finally wear my new kimono. I’ve developed a bit of an obsession with clothing that I can just drape over myself. I’m all about capes, kimonos, shawls, scarves, etc… Unique clothing that has some movement to it, basically. I received a ton of compliments on this kimono while I was out, too. Which made not wearing a coat and freezing a bit, worth it (I didn’t want to cover the kimono up the first chance I had to wear it)!

The day these photos were taken was windy and super cold, and it was actually lightly raining too. Which is also why it looks like I didn’t bother to brush my hair. Haha. My hair put up a good fight, but it was no match for the rain.. and then reverted back to its natural state of frizziness, despite having been carefully straightened just hours ago. I also have to share a blooper photo too, of my hair gone wrong. Haha. When I was going through photos this one cracked me up!

Blooper photo
Had to share this blooper photo. Haha. Like my horns?

It reminded me of a scene from Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. I think it’s “When Nature Calls” when they’re looking for the sacred white bat, and Ace has hair horns? But anyways, I digress. Haha.

What’s your favorite season? Do you like the cool crisp air of fall? Or the sweltering days of summer? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you so much! It’s a bit hard to see in the photos, but the pattern on the kimono is actually a leaf pattern too! Very fall appropriate. 🙂

Thank you, Joanna! I love this kimono! And these boots are so old, and I wear them to death every fall/winter. It will be a very sad day when they fall apart lol.

  5. I like the drapey look. I like being able to layer in fall but hate when it gets too cold in the winter.

Thank you, Jessica! And oh I agree, haha. I will be the first to complain when it dips below freezing. But fall is just the perfect weather (usually) in my opinion. 🙂

  6. This outfit is lovely and autumnal! I agree with you about “drapey” items, kimonos, shawls and capes and the likes are so beautiful and dramatic! Love them. The kimono you’re wearing is stunning and so are you.
I also really like the blooper photo. I like your horns, you look like a cute deer 😛
    Much love

Thank you so much, Mona! You are always so sweet! 🙂 This kimono is the best! And if you think I look like a cute deer in the blooper photo – I’ll take it! Haha. (That’s better than Ace Ventura! Haha.)

  7. You look beautiful and your outfit is gorgeous!! I love fall but I miss the summer. I love the sun every morning, it gives you more energy but the clouds and rain just make you feel lazy haha!
Your super stylish! I have been on a lot of your posts and fell in-love with your outfits! <3

Aw, thank you so much! That means so much to me to hear! And I agree the sunlight and summer does give you a lot more energy, that’s for sure. Haha.

Yay, an Ace Ventura reference 😉 I think you look great! I didn’t even notice your hair wasn’t as done up as usual, you beauty you 😉 But wind…yeah, that’s the worst. I’m compiling a montage of blooper photos for later this year and wind definitely ruined a few of my shots in a funny way too 😉 XO

Thank you so much, Amanda! It was SO cold this weekend, but this might be the first time in my life I was happy about it being cold, haha. This ridiculously hot, never-ending summer was killing me, haha.
