This is the final look for my Spring Capsule Wardrobe Week! And this one is undoubtedly the most warm weather appropriate out of all this week’s outfits. I wore this outfit less than two weeks ago and was honestly too warm while I was taking these photos – it was in the 70s (major heat wave for us)! We were actually able to enjoy some beverages on the outdoor patio at the restaurant that night, and it was heavenly! It felt like spring was finally here to stay and summer couldn’t be that far off.

It was so wonderful to be able to wear a dress without tights or a cardigan – I felt so carefree, haha. And it can completely change the entire look of the outfit. (If you missed my post featuring this dress from thredUP earlier in the week, click here.) I really like the way this little silk scarf can dress up a look as well. Removing the scarf and wearing a pair of flats would give this dress a totally different look. (Hence, why this dress is part of my spring capsule wardrobe – it’s very versatile!)

Just a reminder of what a capsule wardrobe is…a capsule wardrobe is made of very versatile pieces of clothing you can mix and match and wear for just about any occasion. And the majority of my pieces for my spring capsule wardrobe are from the awesome, second-hand, clothing site – thredUP! I’ll be putting together a post for tomorrow of all the pieces I used this week in my outfits (and it’s surprisingly not too many pieces).

Spring snow in Wisconsin

Buck in the snow

Buck in the snow

So, I mentioned yesterday we were supposed to get a snowstorm here. And guess what, we did! Haha. This is what the area I took my dress photos in looked like this morning. Buck is so happy we have snow again, though. He really enjoys laying in it, eating it and making dog snow angels in it. And it appears he also likes to try to catch snowflakes on his tongue. Haha.

So, to recap, less than two weeks ago I was able to wear a dress without a cardigan or tights….and today I had to dig out my snow boots and winter parka. Haha. You have to love spring in Wisconsin!

  1. That is very pretty dress! And I’ve got to remember to try and wear a scarf like that.. it looks really stylish. 🙂

The snow reminds me of my view from the hotel in Austria where I was last week. Down in the valley as we woke up, the scenery would be white because it had been snowing all night. Then at the end of the afternoon after we came back from the slopes, everything would be green because the temperatures were around 15 degrees Celsius!

    1. Thank you so much, Natassia! And the snow Austria sounds beautiful! Unfortunately, our snow did not melt by the afternoon, haha. It instead stuck around for days, and now it’s supposed to snow again! Yuck!

  2. You look so stylish and sophisticated with this cute little scarf and floral dress. It’s perfect for spring. I wish we had snow here. If we had snow, I would definitely build a snowman and go play in it. I think I only got to do that a few times in my life. Your dog is adorable! I just signed up for Thred Up and browsed the dress section. I found a couple of cute things there.

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Joanna! Snow does have it’s perks at times – feel free to come to Wisconsin almost any time of the year…we always seem to have enough to build a snowman, haha. I’m so glad you found a few dresses you like on thredUP! 🙂

  3. This dress! It looks so summery and lovely without the cardi! And I love how you’ve paired it with the nude heels – makes the outfit very elegant.
I think a black dress is a really good staple, but nothing new there… hehe
    Much love,
    Mona

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Mona! Having a black dress is a great staple! That is actually something I need to invest in one of these days. I only have one, but it’s one of those dresses you need to wear to the right place…it’s a bit too dressy.

  4. Gorgeous! This is such a fun outfit and it’s totally perfect with the neck scarf!!! XO

  5. It really does look like a whole new dress without the tights and cardigan. And I think the scarf stands out even more with just the dress. It’s beautiful! And your dog is so cute playing in the snow!
