That’s a Wrap

It is starting to feel more and more like summer here in Sydney! This outfit was worn last weekend on a balmy Sunday afternoon…even the water was warm as it splashed my toes. But now, I’m currently in Wisconsin, where it’s well below freezing and very snowy! To say that I am cold would be an understatement, haha. I have definitely turned into “a baby” about the cold weather. (How did I ever do outfit posts in this kind of weather?! Haha.)

But I digress, back to this outfit! The wrap dress (Hence, the title…bear with me on this one! Haha.) I am wearing in these here warm Sydney photos would actually be more suitable as a swimsuit coverup. It’s quite sheer and feels more like a pretty, silky bathrobe than a dress. It’ll be getting plenty of use once I get back to Sydney – because I’m going to need to hang out on the beach for a week straight to thaw out after my adventure in Wisconsin, haha.

And I am still wearing these gorgeous earrings I found at a Christmas market a couple weeks ago. Gosh, they are just so cool! If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out this Etsy shop, FrenchChicbyMaiwenn…that’s the lady’s shop who makes them. She’s so talented!

  1. Haha i love a good pun title! You keep making them all you want. This dress is so pretty and the beach scenery has me dreaming of all things summer! Ugh, I’m stuck in the winter and so jealous haha! I like the idea of making it into a swim suit cover up too. Double use!

    1. Haha! Glad you enjoyed it too, Amanda! I had a brief moment in winter, and I am very grateful to be back in summer now. Haha. Brrr was it cold at home. 😉

  2. What a great idea to make this dress more versatile!! It’s beautiful Lindsey!
It’s pretty cold here in Colorado too, but the sun always makes it seem warmer!

  3. Totally true, the earrings are really so cool! And the dress too! I know what you mean, that it feels more like a bath robe – wrap dresses give this feeling, but they are so beautiful, so comfortable, so feminine! I loved yours, the print is really beautiful, the breeze makes the photos even more beautiful and the location is also amazing! You definitely look stunning! I hope that in the US now you feel warmer sometimes – if not because of the weather, of course not, then because of family and friends! Hope you have a great Christmas, dear Lindsey, enjoy it a lot!

  4. It’s been really cold here, and snowy! But it’s supposed to get into the 30s this week, so it will be like a heat wave! Love your pretty wrap dress, looks very cool and elegant! 🙂

  5. Don’t worry, I appreciate the punny title to NO END! While I love my winter, these photos are so warm and inviting. I am a bit envious of your summer! What a pretty wrap dress for the warmth – it looks so light and effortless!
