Holy moly! Have Clothes, Will Travel is 4 years old today. Which is actually pretty old in blog years! (They’re kind of like “dog years”…I think?)
Every year for this special date I break out a favorite outfit of mine and try to celebrate with baked goods or flowers. (I ran all over the place trying to find balloons, but I’m still a bit directionally challenged in Moscow…so, that didn’t happen.) Instead, my husband and I spent a day exploring the Kremlin, eating ice cream and bartering at some little markets. For this year’s big day, my husband bought me a handmade, metal rose to go with the overly floral outfit I already had going on. Isn’t he the best?
You’ll get extra entries in the giveaway if you can tell me how many flowers you spot in that photo below, haha. Just kidding.
He also helped me try to get a photo with this cute ice cream cart….but there were literally hundreds of people walking in this area. So, it was nearly an impossible shot! Thanks, hun!
This is also the time of year when I want to take the time to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you. Without you lovely readers none of this would be possible. 4 years of blogging simply wouldn’t have happened if you all didn’t pop in here to read and interact my posts, and share my blog with your friends, family and coworkers. Oh! And buy items via my links. You’re keeping Have Clothes, Will Travel in motion!
These last 4 years have connected me with so many amazing people, virtually and even in person. The blogging community is truly an inspiring place to be. All of the lovely comments you leave and messages you send make it easy to brush off hate mail (which inevitably comes with the territory) and the judgy people who roll their eyes when they hear my job is blogging. The support from you readers over these last 4 years means the world to me, and I can’t thank you all enough. You’ve not only helped me keep Have Clothes, Will Travel going, you’ve also given me the confidence to take on freelance clients to help with their blogs and social media needs. (Which is something I absolutely love doing!) Seriously, you readers are the best.
And to say thank you, I’m giving away a $100 ModCloth gift card! ModCloth and their style of clothing is what seems to have brought the majority of us together. It’s also what nearly this entire outfit is made up of, haha. (Links to individual items are below.) And this year’s giveaway will hopefully be nice and easy for you all, as I’m pretty sure most of you are already following me on one form of social media or another. Feel free to grab as many entries as you can, though! Enter in the widget below, or I can’t pick you to win!
**Side note! Regular readers…I’m actually leaving for Washington, D.C. in a few hours, and I’ll be there until Sunday. I kept forgetting that this trip was coming so soon! And here I am, still writing this post and not packing, haha. My husband and I are heading there for a yearly conference my husband’s company puts on (and family members are in invited too). So, for the next couple blog posts, I have some lovely guest posters helping me out! Be sure to show Emma and Amy some love on Friday and Monday, and I’ll be back to posting as usual on Wednesday. You can follow my DC trip, as always, on Instastories & Snapchat.
